Handicappers make more money on MLB baseball every season than any other sports. And there's a good reason. MLB generates less betting action than football or basketball and creates greater disparity in sports book lines. MLB Sharps can pick apart MLB odds and coupled with good handicapping with better pay-outs at the window and this makes MLB the most profitable season of the year. Last year I made a fortune spotting value on the diamonds and I'm crushing the books early this season. Beyond disparity in MLB odds, here are other contributing factors that make MLB a can't miss for Sharps: • Number of MLB match-ups - The sheer volume of MLB games makes it difficult for oddsmakers to calculate odds day in and day out. • Market Volume - as mentioned above, low market volume means fewer bets and fewer adjustments to the odds • Availability of Data - Due to high number of matchups and market volume, availabilty of data for the oddsmakers makes it difficult to forecast odds • Time Gap between games - is there sufficient time for participants to recover between matches or is fatigue likely to be a factor? Is there a long time between games so that rustiness may be a factor? Pro/College football and basketball has plenty of time between games and more likely to have accurate injury reports for the lines makers. • Uniformity of standard - can we generally assume that teams will treat each game equally, or are there other factors that may influence the participants' commitment? No shot of making the playoffs? Resting players for the playoffs? Most gamblers bet on sports closest to our heart - maybe the one(s) we have followed since childhood and the ones we are most knowledgable. But just because you are knowledgeable about certain sports does it make it the most profitable sports to wager. MLB continues to be the favorite among professional handicappers and look no further than the historic records to see that MLB always dominates the hardwood and the pigskin.
